Illustration Friday: Wrinkles

Illustration Friday: Wrinkles
White pen on black paper
For this week's theme "Wrinkles", I attempted a portrait of my grandfather.
My Daddy-Pete was a sweet, special man. I miss his whistling and his big smile.
I attempted drawing white on black. It was kind of a tough process drawing "backwards" making things lighter instead of darker.

Illustration Friday: Fail

Illustration Friday: Fail
Pastel
This week's theme is the word "Fail". Once again I FAIL to make a decent meal for my family. Once again I order pizza for supper. I am just thankful my family still loves me even though I fail to take good care of them in the home cooking department.

Illustration Friday: Save

Illustration Friday: Save

Pen

"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of the deep waters." Psalms 18:16.

If you zoom in closely to this picture, you will see it is made up of Bible verses. It took a while to do, but it was very moving to write out the words of what God did for me.

This is based on a Rembrandt painting. I went a little too heavy on the white on his chest and arms, but it is pen so I couldn't change it once it was done.
