A friend from our school saw my picture of Zeke and Jeff and asked me to make a similar one of her family for a Christmas present for her husband. (I really need to start getting better at drawing front views of faces:)

i think there is no question that you have the drawing talent to do faces. you just need to start tackling it. if you just think of a face as a collection of shapes (just like plants, patterns, or anything else), it becomes less daunting.
your colored pencil work is quite beautiful. this was my first visit to your blog, and i think it's all quite lovely.
