Illustration Friday: Baby

Illustration Friday: Baby
Colored Pencil and Graphite Pencil

For this week's theme of "Baby", I thought about my children. No matter how old they are, they will always be my babies. First I drew a picture of them in graphite pencil when they were little (about seven and a half years ago). Then I drew a colored pencil picture of them from this year (they were so excited about their ice cream!). When both were done I cut them in strips and combined them into one picture. It is kind of bizarre, but I liked the effect.

what great colored pencil work!! Especially their little fingers and the gesture of their arms...the first optical illusion one is most conceptual - but the others are pretty realistic and I enjoyed all THREE!!! Thanks for sharing with IF!
